CMD emergency consultation

NEW at our orthodontic practice since autumn 2024

For those affected by CMD in Mainz, our orthodontic practice is now offering an emergency CMD consultation. Every Monday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. we treat CMD sufferers with acute pain.

The first appointment includes a medical examination of your jaw joints, jaw muscles and jaw movement (functional analysis). Among other things, we palpate the jaw joints and muscles, examine them for noticeable noises, note the pain points, check the jaw movements for function and at the same time pay attention to the overall posture and any poor posture. We also advise you on the causes and consequences of craniomandibular dysfunction. We will often give you a referral for an MRI so that we can get an even more comprehensive picture of your temporomandibular joint situation.

If you are personally affected by CMD, you know only too well the pain that craniomandibular dysfunction can cause. For this reason, pain relief is a key concern of our emergency consultation. At Brand Orthodontics in Mainz you will receive an initial, temporary temporomandibular joint splint to relieve pain on the same day.

6 years Brand Orthodontics

Our Orthodontic practice “Am Brand” in Mainz celebrates its birthday on November 9th, 2022

We are happy to look back on our six-year practice history at “Am Brand” in Mainz. From the first day of opening, when we opened the door with pounding hearts, our first patients, whom I as an orthodontist was able to advise and treat on my own premises for the first time, and the wonderful feeling after two years practice history from Brand Orthodontics when we were able to complete the first orthodontic treatments and said goodbye to the first children with their parents and to our first adult patients, almost a little wistfully.

The best thing for us is that although there was a first time for everything in our practice in Mainz, we are surrounded by wonderful people every day and every orthodontic treatment remains an individual case with different requirements. For us it was just six beautiful years, which we hope will be followed by many more!

Of course, the pandemic has also brought new, unexpected and sad challenges for us. By wearing the FFP2 mask, we were no longer able to welcome you immediately with our friendly smile, but we hope that you and your children could and can still feel our warmth! Not all of our practice employees were able to remain in their profession under the new living conditions. But even in turbulent times there were good things: I was able to recruit new employees, who we warmly welcome and who are now all committed to supporting us with their respective know-how. It is also positive that dental materials are not affected by delivery problems during the entire Corona period, and we can continue to assure you of all orthodontic treatments. We were able to continue to take part in further training, maintain our high quality standards and, of course, also benefit from our ever-growing wealth of experience.

Orthodontics is my dream job!

But without my great team of employees at my side and without you – dear children, dear parents, dear patients, I would not be looking back on six years in my own practice today. For this I would like to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart!

The complexity of diagnosis and treatment of the craniomandibular dysfunction requires a holistic approach, consisting of an interdisciplinary collaboration of experts in this field.
